Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of AgroConnect Zimbabwe (the "Platform"), owned and operated by Elisha Never Makaza ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you ("user", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Who can use the Platform
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. Village agents may register a farmer on the farmer's behalf, as described in Section 4; the farmer remains responsible for their account once claimed.
2. Roles on the Platform
The Platform supports several account roles, including farmers, buyers, suppliers, advisors, logistics providers, village agents, and administrators. Each role has access to features appropriate to it, and we may add, change, or remove roles and features at any time.
3. Account registration and security
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and any activity that occurs under your account. Password resets use a single-use one-time code (OTP) sent to your registered phone number or email; do not share this code with anyone.
4. Village agents and agent-assisted accounts
Verified village agents may register farmers who cannot use the Platform directly, and may create or manage produce listings on those farmers' behalf. A farmer registered this way can later claim their account using their own phone number. Farmers are responsible for reviewing any listings or activity created on their behalf once they claim their account.
5. The Platform is a facilitator, not a party to your transactions
AgroConnect Zimbabwe provides listings, order requests, market-price information, advisory content, supplier directories, and logistics-request tools to help farmers, buyers, suppliers, advisors, and logistics providers connect and coordinate. We are not a party to, and do not guarantee, control, or take responsibility for, any agreement, sale, delivery, or payment arrangement made between users. Users are solely responsible for verifying counterparties, agreeing on price, quality, quantity, delivery, and payment terms, and for fulfilling their own obligations. The current version of the Platform does not process payments on your behalf; any payment arrangement is between the users involved.
6. Listings, content, and conduct
You are responsible for the accuracy of any listing, review, advisory post, health-log entry, image, or other content you submit. You agree not to submit content that is false, misleading, unlawful, infringing, or that misrepresents produce, pricing, availability, or your identity. We may moderate, edit availability of, or remove content, and may suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion, including for suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
7. Advisory and market-price content is not a guarantee
Advisory articles, seasonal activity reminders, and crop or livestock health-log responses are provided for general informational purposes and do not replace professional agronomic, veterinary, or business advice. Market-price records are reference information sourced for the Platform and may not reflect the exact price achievable in any transaction. You use this information at your own discretion and risk.
8. Messaging (SMS, WhatsApp, USSD, and email)
By providing a phone number or email address and opting into a feature such as price alerts, activity reminders, order notifications, or password-reset codes, you consent to receive related messages by SMS, WhatsApp, USSD, or email. You may unsubscribe from optional digests and alerts at any time through your account preferences; some transactional messages, such as OTPs and order-status notifications, cannot be disabled while you use the related feature.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform's software, design, branding, and underlying content (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by Elisha Never Makaza and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the Platform. 10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, from transactions between users, or from reliance on advisory or market-price content.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, applicable law, or that we reasonably believe harms other users or the Platform. You may stop using the Platform and request account closure at any time using the contact details below.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe.
